Shawarma Tacos With Homemade Onion Jam

Fish tacos pulled, beef tacos re’we... hearing of them over and over again but, I bet you never heard of Shawarma Tacos Introducing! the most flavorful taco yet! Onion Jam: Salute two onions in three tablespoons oil over medium heat for twenty five minutes until deeply golden. Add a teaspoon salt. Pour the wine into the pot and cook for five more minutes. The results are incredible!

Ingredients

  • Corn tortillas
  • 1 package KJ Poultry Chicken Shawarma Chubs
  • Watermealon radish
  • Pea shoots or the leafy greens of your choice
  • 2 onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup Mrsala wine
  • Oil for sauteing

Step 1
Start by slicing strips of the shawarma chub and searing them in a pan with two tablespoons oil over medium heat and set aside
Step 2
Place the corn tortilla over an open flame and heat for a minute on each side until black spots form. Use caution!
Step 3
Assemble the tacos by placing the leafy greens, shawarma and watermelon radish slices in the center of the corn tortilla
Step 4
Drizzle with sesame tahini and top with onion jam!

 

Sweet and Spicy Candied Pastrami

Ingredients

  • One package KJ Poultry pastrami
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • A dash of garlic powder

Directions

Step 1
Whisk the honey, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper and
garlic powder vigorously until incorporated
Step 2
Layer a cooling rack on top of a baking sheet and spread the
pastrami on the cooling rack
Step 3
Brush a generous amount of the honey mixture on each
side of the pastrami slices
Step 4
Bake in a 400 degree oven for approximately fifteen minutes

 

Shwarma Sloppy Joe’s in Latke Tacos

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 White onion (sliced)
  • 4 teaspoons Olive oil (divided)
  • 1lb Ground Dark Chicken (or Turkey)

Latka

  • 6 potatoes
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Oil

Step 1
Heat 2 T oil in a non-stick skillet on medium flame until screaming hot.
Step 2
Add sliced onion, purple onion, leek and mushrooms.
Step 3
Stir with a wooden spoon for 5 -10 minutes until just limp.
Step 4
Sprinkle with some salt, pepper, shwarma and turmeric stirring after each addition.
Step 5
Remove to a heat safe bowl.

Heat oil in a frying pan.
Step 7
Beat eggs, oil, seltzer, salt and pepper.
Step 8
Grate potatoes with kugel blade, quickly add to egg mixture, beating until well incorporated.
Step 9
Using a serving spoon, drop into hot oil. Fry on both sides until golden. (should create bigger size latkes)
